Icon description route Description

At the transition between the Kempen and the Hageland you will discover the hiking area Asdonk. The sandy soils provide a very unique nature with heather, grass thorn and viviparous lizard. The area offers beautiful vistas over pollarded trees, hedges and wood edges. You walk from the center of Molenstede along the Zwart Water to Dassenaarde. The nature reserve that was named after the badgers that were present there until the 1950s.

Follow the nodes of the walking network de Merode or the signposts with the red triangle.

Monday, May 9, 2022 by Luc WullaertStarted at the Kievithoeve and headed towards node 307. Very nice walk through the woods with some nice views. Highly recommended for lovers of beautiful trees. The silence is only broken when you have to cross a busy road (2x) Must be a must in autumn.

Sunday, June 6, 2021 by luc boeckxa very nice hike,but.......,which green bird has placed young bulls there in the enclosed field. With 2 they were on the path, and when I turned around after 15 min of waiting I was followed and threatened with "pseudo attacks".You can't go there safely with children. They are cows of around 500 kg

Friday, December 4, 2020 by Ann SelsVery nice walk. We started at the Kiewithoeve in Tessenderlo. Then you can go directly from node 935 to node 250. A lot of forest paths, only in Engsbergen there is quite a lot of asphalt.

Monday, November 9, 2020 by Peter WilsVery nice forest walk, the autumn colors gave the whole place an extra nice impression. Normally you could find a very relaxed rest here, now in corona time it was very crowded. Choose a quieter time to fully enjoy this beautiful hike !
