Icon description route Description

Walk through the history of Rummen. Through the Dorpveldweg you walk to the Warandebos, with spring flowers and views of old ramparts and moats. In the 14th century there was a castle on the edge of the forest: the audio story tells you about Arnold's castle and the end of the county of Loon.
Admire the old presbytery from 1630 and the beautiful remains of a windmill in the hamlet of Bergeneinde. On Persoonstraat, follow the route of the vanished streetcar line that once connected Sint-Truiden with Herk-de-Stad. Enjoy the beautiful landscape.

Nice walk, a little too much on public roads in my opinion, but that's different for everyone (I like to walk off road). On the way you come across an aldi a bit further on if you look to the right aks you walk from node 420 to 422, so if you are hungry handy :-)
