Description
The departure is at the water mill of Saint-Getrudis-Pede, where grain has been ground since the 14th century. The hike explores the upper reaches of the Pedebeek. The neighborhood roads and paths are an oasis of tranquility. At the village church of Schepdaal, you'll be descending through a picturesque nature reserve and don't realize that the busy Ninoofsesteenweg is only a bit away. Across the Varenbergbeek and the Molenbeek you'll reach the mill again on the Pedebeek. You'll walk along the reservoirs that allow the mill to run during dry summers. This walk is signposted with a 6-sided sign with the name Pedemolenwandeling.
This walk is offered by Tourism Flemish Brabant.
