Icon description route Description

This hike takes you back in time, along the field paths past the municipality's most beautiful chapels. Admire, among others, the Art Deco-style St. Servaas Chapel, the High Beekkant Chapel, the sober neoclassical Veldkant Chapel, the Polder Chapel and the oldest Wezenhaag Chapel. You'll be stepping right through the center, past the Norbertine Abbey, St. Servatius Basilica, where the 49 bells of the carillon resound every Sunday and holiday, and the MIRA public observatory with the history of our solar system. The stables of the Prinsenkasteel, the Tommenmolen and the Liermolen house the MOT - the former Museum of Ancient Techniques.

NOTE: This is a walk on a virtual walking network. The nodes are not signposted on the property. Follow the 6-sided red and white signs with the name of the hike.

This hike is offered by Tourism Flemish Brabant.

Sunday, January 23, 2022 by H.V.We started off with a lot of buildings, here and there a nice piece of nature, added the ribbon forest, followed the plaques and that went well but meanwhile we also tried to follow the virtual junctions but that is not fun because you constantly have to look at your screen, give me the real junctions with poles.

Wednesday, October 11, 2023 by Annie MostinCompletely agree. Did the walk today. First part, way too much construction, only at the thermal baths it started to get nice with the exception of the Prince's Castle. Fortunately there were still pictures, if not it was impossible. Beautiful center though.

Wednesday, September 1, 2021 by GILBERTE DE BLOCKWe had done the first part in July, today we started the second part at the bus station. It was a beautiful hike, sorry that in some places the nettles were so high that we couldn't see the arrow on the sign. Resolved with a long stick and flattened the nettles. Also did part of the Ribbon Park super

Wednesday, December 30, 2020 by Sophie VanderougstraeteDue to works you have to deviate from the route and then you have to search with the GPS for where to go as there is no sign with the walking route.

Sunday, November 17, 2019 by L.D.Did this hike for half due to lack of time, Beautiful hike near where I live. I picked this one to test and learn the app.
Very nice I will definitely walk this one in full.
Quiet streets and walking paths. And occasional opportunities to rest and or drink.
