A walk through the Lombaarden nature reserve, which was formed here around 12,000 years ago by the Demer, which described an extensive meander at this location. The strong erosion of this meander is the basis for the level difference between the center of Haacht and Lombaarden. Due to the alternation of open landscape, groves, hedgerows, and orchards, Lombaarden has great natural value.

The nature trail is a beautiful nature path along the neighborhood park Heerlyckheid van Roost, the summer dike, the Wilde Heide, the anti-tank ditch, and the Scharent district.
