In 2002, the village center of Tildonk received recognition for its historical value. The distinctive structure and appearance of this primarily 19th-century village center are largely determined by the broad, straight trajectory of the Pastoor Lambertzdreef, with the old town hall on one side and the Sint-Angela institute on the other, aligning in the line of sight. The dominance of neoclassically inspired, more spacious townhouses, combined with a beautiful villa estate, emphasizes the former prosperity derived from the proximity of an internationally renowned educational institution. These architectural elements together form a captivating historical tableau, doing justice to the rich history and character of Tildonk in its protected status.
