The KW Line is one of the defensive lines that were built just before WWII to protect Belgium against a German invasion. It consisted of more than four hundred bunkers and ran right through Belgium, from Koningshooikt to Wavre, hence the name KW line.
On the territory of Haacht, we already find about fifty bunkers. The bunkers are only 400 meters apart, within sight of each other. Take the time to look around the area. In addition to these bunkers, many remnants of this line of defense are still visible in the landscape, such as the anti-tank ditch, trenches, and shooting pits.
