Description
Scattered around Everbeek, in a southern corner of the Flemish Ardennes, are several woods and groves. All of them are remnants of the former Poodsberg forest, which in the Middle Ages extended to Ronse.Today, together they form a unique hiking area, where only silence can be heard.
The Silence walking route is offered to you by Routen, an initiative of Tourism East Flanders.

Sunday, May 28, 2023 by M.D.A winner! Blessed route with lots of variety: forests, wide views, parts GR route, hilly and sometimes some asphalt. Walking shoes are a must. Especially take a drink with you ... because there are no cafes on the route.

Saturday, June 19, 2021 by P.V.Very pleasant walk in the middle of nature. Almost no roads along the highway. Perfect to relax in the middle of nature. Recommended to do after several days of dry weather. Is a hilly walk on dirt roads. Super nice views.

Friday, February 19, 2021 by P.N.Already done quite a few hikes in this beautiful region, but this hike is one of our favorites! Rightly a 'silence' hike, enjoyed the peace, the varied nature, beautiful panoramas. Was boggy though, sturdy walking shoes are a must. We will definitely do this hike again in spring/summer.

Wednesday, December 23, 2020 by E.T.Very nice hike! After 3-4 rainy days it was very soggy on the dirt roads. Waterproof walking shoes are definitely a must in these conditions. We enjoyed plodding along with our dog. We are curious to do this hike again in spring/summer.

Monday, October 26, 2020 by Willy De Regge-Heysebeautiful hiking trail, wonderful views and beautiful coloring of trees and landscape. Just a shame that farmers are making more and more hiking trails almost unusable. Will definitely do this hike again in the spring.

Saturday, June 27, 2020 by L.J.Wonderful hike! So quiet and peaceful, you hardly meet anyone. This was really enjoyable for us: picnic with beautiful views, nice alternation of forest and field paths, tough calf bites. We recommend this hike to everyone!
