Take a walk in the Flemish Nature Reserve 'Achelse Kluis'!

The start is at junction 68 in the 'Natuurpoort Leenderbos' parking lot. The route mainly goes through the Warmbeek valley, which is renamed Tongelreep at the border crossing into the Netherlands.

There is a lot to see during the walk. You go through the domain De Bever where you can find signs of beaver activity. Behind the building stands an observatory of the association Noorderkroon Achel. At the Het Mulke watermill, you can eat a farm-made ice cream.

The route takes the hiker to the ruins of De Waag, where grain was once required to be weighed. Along the way, you find out much more through information boards.

After this beautiful walk, you can relax at the Achelse Kluis with a drink and a snack. For those who want some reflection time, there is also a small beautiful Marian chapel.
