Icon description route Description

Park for free at the Barbarini square in Stein.

Almost immediately after departure, you walk along the green waterfront and a cozy stop awaits you at Brewery Fontein with its lovely terrace. Next, you admire the remains of Castle Stein and its park before following the green banks of the Juliana Canal again until the next bridge.

Once over the bridge, enter the higher wooded area between the Maas and Juliana Canal through the small wooden gate. From here, you have a beautiful view of the surroundings and already see in the distance the church of Meers which you will approach via the meadows along the Maas.

Be sure to make a stop at the brown café "De Witte Börstel," where carnival-goers, hikers, cyclists, and canoeists are at home. In the last part, you explore the border Maas with its grazers and gravel pit before making the crossing back to Stein.

(High) walking shoes recommended. Dogs welcome on the lead. Some stair climbs along the way.

Reverse route is certainly possible!
