Icon description route Description

For this walk, we used several locally marked walks and also unmarked paths. It is best to use a GPS and/or map to navigate.

Free parking is available at the large parking lot at the Sandweiler cemetery. We walked the loop clockwise. This was a good decision, because although it is a beautiful piece of nature, you have to deal with the smell of exhaust fumes from ascending airplanes. After about 2 kilometers, you won't be bothered by it anymore.

Through the valley of the Birelerbaach, the path leads towards Schrassig. Before reaching Schrassig, you pass the "Centre de Formation et d'Animation Neihaischen", where you can see a real Celtic house and a Native Village. You can freely walk around there, but the house is closed.

Once through Schrassig, the walk continues a bit further through the beautiful valley of the Birelerbaach.
