Along De Averegten and the Grote Nete Valley

Park for free at the De Averegten Provincial Domain (point 13) or Café Nieuwendyck (point 20).

Through the beautiful forest with mighty deciduous trees, interspersed with meadows, which makes De Averegten unique, we set out in search of the Nete Valley. Between points 53 and 17, you can take the country lane, parallel to Hallaar Aard, which crosses the gravel road Echelpoel, and thus include some more unpaved paths. Between points 99 and 98, you pass the damp Tittebeemden to reach the Netedike.

Along the beautiful Nete Valley, we head towards Itegem, where the cozy Café Nieuwendyck with its various beers and daily specials offers the ideal stopover for the thirsty/hungry hiker. (You can go directly from point 50 to 20).

Through Itegem village, quiet cycling and walking paths lead you back to De Averegten. In this green lung of 100 ha, you can extend the walk as long as you like (play and refreshment facilities + petting zoo).

High walking shoes (or boots!) are necessary. Dogs are welcome on a leash.
