Icon description route Description

This walk is only signposted in one direction. Follow L3 and L2.

Initially, we intended to do the L3 walk, but after our picnic in the small park by the beautiful 'Château de Meysembourg', we decided to change direction to follow the L2 marking. That was certainly not a bad decision. Where we would have otherwise continued our way along paved roads, we now went through the beautiful, quiet woods on relatively wide, winding forest paths.

The Château de Meysembourg is private property and not accessible to visitors. The current building, dating from 1880, was erected by the Count of Arenberg to designs by architect Charles Arendt in Neo-Renaissance style. The current owner purchased it in 1971. From the original castle, only the chapel, the moat, and part of the wall remain.
