The Landschotse Heide, a 239-hectare nature reserve in North Brabant, lies south of Middelbeers and east of Westelbeers. It is part of the Brabant Landscape. This area is also known as 'Het Wit-Holland', named after the most famous of the four ponds. In winter, when the weather allows, ice skating takes place on Het Wit-Holland.
