This route starts at the church of Witgoor. It takes the walker past the Pinken Quarry to the Dessel-Schoten Canal.

In 2005, Sibelco started a new sand quarry, De Pinken, located on the Dessel side of the Bocholt-Herentals Canal, at Sas IV and Sas V. White sand will be extracted here for twenty years.

The Trench, also known as the Great Trench or the Collateur of Arendonk, is a small canal that connects two Campine canals.
