Laakdal: The Flood

Description

This is a beautiful node-to-node walk that can start at the spacious parking lot of the sports center "De Vloed" in Laakdal.

Of the 17 km, about 8 km is unpaved. Not a problem, since the paved sections are quiet in terms of car traffic and partly car-free. There is also little or no construction. Plenty of nature on the side, but concrete or asphalt under the feet.

We walked it counterclockwise, which immediately confronted us between nodes 347 and 191 with ankle-deep mud pools. Going around them was not an option, so we went through. Further on, there isn't much more mud to see during this walk.

Applying repellent against mosquitoes is not an unnecessary luxury.
