Beautiful, sporty, and varied hike in the ‘Naturpark Südeifel’.

The hike starts at one of the many hiking car parks in this area. There is a lot to see during this journey. Normally, we cover 15 km in about 3 hours, but for this hike, it took us 6 hours. There are quite a few elevation changes which are overcome by stairs.

The scenery makes use of many rock formations with a rather rugged appearance. The name of the hike reveals the passage through the ‘Teufelsschlucht’, after which we descend to ‘Ernzen’ where we have about 1.4 km of paved road underfoot.

We also get to see the ‘Felsenweiher’. This is a group of rock formations connected by galleries. There are also beautiful views over ‘Echternach’ and the ‘Sûre Valley’. We also pass the beautiful ‘Liboriuskapelle’.
