We are going in search of The Clever Sheep.

For this adventurous walk, we start from the enchanting castle of Elsloo. Climbing up the stairs, we quickly find ourselves in the valley of the Julian Canal. Another steep climb follows to leave the valley, and we catch our breath a bit further along in a beautiful tree-lined avenue that leads us to a stunning natural forest.

Then, we set course for the center of the charming historical village of Elsloo. Via the stairs at the church, we end up in a cute old-fashioned street, and then we descend back to the castle park. The path winds through a beautiful forest to a cozy inn: we have found The Clever Sheep.

After a tasty snack and a cold pint, we are in for another challenging walk, partly through open fields but mostly climbing and descending through the forest, alongside a babbling brook. Fortunately, there are small steps here and there. Upon arrival at the castle, we continue to enjoy on the sunny terrace.
