Icon description route Description

De Bunt is a nature reserve at the mouth of the Durme into the Scheldt. Here you'll find a small but beautiful forest.

For this short walk, approximately 3.5 kilometers, you can easily park in the large parking lot at the Den Otter restaurant. From there, you can take the stairs up to get a fantastic view and listen to the sound of the geese in the wetland below.

After a stretch on a paved road, you enter the forest. Even though the forest is fairly small, you really get the feeling that you are in the middle of nature. Here, you can also encounter many animals. Mostly ducks, but a blue heron and a deer have also crossed my path here.

After making a loop through the forest, you return to the parking lot where the walk began.

De Bunt is one of the many beautiful nature areas around the Durme and is easily accessible by car.
