Icon description route Description

A cycling route with mostly flat lanes, but also some punishing climbs through the Hoge Kempen National Park. You start at the Cosmodrome at the Genk Access Gate Kattevennen. So you cycle right into the National Park with pine forests as a backdrop. These merge seamlessly into the heathlands of the Mechelse Heide. Cycling through the Heide between nodes 550 and 551 gives you the best of the National Park on a platter. In Pietersheim you pass the castle and medieval moated castle. Along the towpath of the Zuid-Willemsvaart you head towards the center of Lanaken. Then you dive into the woods again, this time those of Zutendaal.
