Icon description route Description

This route is situated between Ostend and Torhout. Successively you get acquainted with the coastal polder landscape and the Houtland. From Stene you cycle through the polders of Ostend with their ancient dikes and creeks. Then you cycle along the Green 62 via Gistel and Eernegem to the Wijnendale castle domain in Torhout. You cycle back past Ichtegem and Koekelare and the Plassendale-Duinkerke canal.

With thanks to Westtoer.

Sunday, March 7, 2021 by Dominique CappelleDrove the route on March 6, 2021 and NO signage at all. Thank goodness we ride on GPS, otherwise you are standing there blinking.

Tuesday, December 10, 2019 by Raphaël VandenbergheBeautiful route, no cars along the way, excellent signage. On the old train bed there are underweddg, several benches to rest there, pick nicken, and enjoy the quiet. Highly recommended

Saturday, July 7, 2018 by R.B.Beautiful route especially the part along the old railroad embankment, road markings are good to very good (in some places the berm vegetation is a serious injury) we have seen all the markings and missed nothing.
On a distance of 60km four or five picnic places may be provided, also few places to drink something and toilet visits.Maybe provide more center in the route. We rode the route on 03-07-2018.
