Description
The route is an excellent introduction to the Pajottenland in the Green Belt around Brussels, with picturesque villages and great views. The topper on this route is the starting and finishing point: domain Ter Rijst in Heikruis, 49 ha of green and quiet with in the middle a beautifully restored castle dating back to 1480. The many farmhouses seem to have been copied from books by Felix Timmermans or Ernest Claes. The route contains a few steep inclines.
This route is offered by Tourism Flemish Brabant.

Tuesday, September 15, 2020 by B.D.Sunday last done with course bike. Pure enjoyment. And you can expand with the Valley Route - then just under 70km - highly recommended! beautiful views.

Tuesday, September 8, 2020 by Marleen MartensBeautiful bike route along rural roads, crossing larger roads without significant traffic. Occasional tough climbs, but also delightful descents. Few places to eat and drink along the way. Highly recommended, would do it again!

Wednesday, July 22, 2020 by W.D.Very nice rural route with, as to be expected in the Pajottenland, some tough climbs. Ample parking at starting point is an extra plus!!!

Saturday, November 2, 2019 by martine NEIRINCKXVery nice bike route, a bit hilly, but that's why it's pajottenland. Beautiful little roads, no big lanes. just to cross the road. Highly recommended!!!

Monday, August 13, 2018 by yvo De MaeyerVery nice rural cycling route. Be sure to provide drinks and lunch, because along the way there is hardly an opportunity to fortify the inner man. In Kester as you leave the trail,(after a missing sign), and in Herne there is a possibility.
Three signs have disappeared. A bike map or GPS is therefore not superfluous.

Sunday, July 15, 2018 by K.K.Very nice ride but they are going to have to check the course. 2 points where road surface came up and no warning. In Tubize street in bad condition as is the bike path.
