Tour to Weeze from Vierlingsbeek

Description

From junction 54, near the station of Vierlingsbeek, the bike tour starts through the village center to the Meuse, where we take the ferry.

After the crossing, the route continues via junction 89 to 68. Here, we turn left and cycle through the beautiful nature of De Groote Muys. Upon leaving this lovely patch of forest and heathland of the De Maasduinen National Park, we cross the border into Germany.

Through the village of Wemb, we reach the pilgrimage site of Kevelaer with its Chapel of Grace and Maria Basilica. We leave Kevelaer heading towards Schravelen before cycling along an unpaved path by the meandering river Niers to Weeze.

From Weeze, we head back towards the Netherlands, crossing the border a little further along via Eckeltse Bergen and Bleyenbeek as we traverse the De Maasduinen National Park. We exit this wooded area to reach the Meuse again through the center of Nieuw Bergen where we take the same ferry back to Vierlingsbeek. Once across, we cycle back to junction 54.
