Icon description route Description

This bicycle tour of 41 km shows you the nicest places in and around Riemst. You first notice that this is the marl region when you cycle along the Albert Canal. Here the marl walls tower high above you. In Kanne and Zichen-Zussen-Bolder it is even possible to visit the marl caves. Sparse climbs await you scattered along the route, with the Slingerberg in Kanne being the most scenic of them all. At the Waterburg in Millen you get a wonderful example of how the medieval nobility built with marlstone. And that this chalky soil produces excellent wines, you can taste for yourself in the Genoels-Elderen wine castle or the wine domain of Vlijtingen.
