Get on your bike for a 44.2 km journey through the natural beauty of the Frisian-Stellingwerf region. Cycle past The Vesuvius, a windmill that has adorned the landscape of Elsloo for more than a century. This authentic 'paaltjasker', lovingly restored by the Vesuvius club, tells the story of rural life and the history of mills in the area.

You'll ride through the Aekingerzand within the Drents-Friese Wold National Park. This rare drifting sand area, also known as the 'Kale Duinen' or Bald Dunes, is a unique breeding ground for the wheatear and is managed by a shepherd and his sheep.
